I enjoy both adult and children's books.

In the adult market, I particularly respond to well researched and original historicals and thrillers that have a unique voice. I also have a soft spot for a beautiful romance, wry dark humor and some contemporary fantasy or magical realism.

With the children's books I look for fun, fresh and exciting picture books with characters that stay with me. A rhyming book is not my preference. I look at both simple text and author/illustrators but please do not have someone create illustrations for your text. It is not necessary.

I also love a great Middle Grade read. Here the voice is key! If I want to hang out with your character, I'm in!

As I have been handling International Rights at the Agency for 14 years, I am always on the lookout for the kind of book that travels well and has strong international appeal as well.
