Cole Hildebrand is a Junior Agent at JVNLA, representing fiction and non-fiction, in addition to handling international and film rights.

Cole has worked with a range of acclaimed authors, including Caroline Hatchett, Cam McCafferty, Carl Safina, and Emily Ruth Verona. He is actively building his list, seeking narrative non-fiction, literary and upmarket fiction, and graphic novels, particularly works by LGBTQ+ writers. He loves fostering the careers of debut authors, working closely with them to help develop and edit their projects, and guiding them through the full process from submission to publication and beyond.

Prior to joining JVNLA, Cole was the Managing Editor at YesYes Books, working with authors such as Elizabeth Acevedo, Justin Phillip Reed, and Shelley Wong, among many others.

Cole was born and raised in Austin, TX, then spent his early adulthood in Portland, OR, where he studied English at Lewis & Clark College. He then went on to get a Master’s in English from New York University. He currently lives in Brooklyn.
