In non-fiction, I look for compelling narratives that blend robust storytelling with deep investigative research. I'm particularly looking for proposals that explore understudied subjects or offer an illuminating new perspective to a wide-range of readers. My main areas of interest include journalism, history, psychology, health, medicine, nature, culture, politics, music, film, philosophy, criticism, biography, and essays. Additionally, I am open to outward-focused memoirs, where personal stories hold up a mirror towards broader issues in our world.

I’m also looking for a range of literary and upmarket fiction, as well as grounded genre fiction, particularly horror. In general, I'm drawn to character-driven books that are sharp, funny, propulsive, moving, and weird, with a deep sensitivity to language on the line level. I love novels featuring queer characters and themes, and those exploring politics, culture, and history—in the U.S. and across the world--through distinct human perspectives. I also represent select graphic novels, where in all cases I look for distinctive art and a compelling story, with a fondness for the humorous, subversive, and strange.
